Certified Translation Portuguese (Brazil) → English (USA)

**Extremely poor service — delayed, careless, and dismissive of customer instructions** My experience with Translayte has been extremely disappointing. I paid for a sworn translation for an academic application, with an agreed delivery date of **August 8, 2026**. The document was not delivered on time, despite the fact that the service had already been fully paid for and the translation was urgently needed. Even more frustrating was the way my requested corrections were handled. I provided a revised version in which the requested changes were **clearly highlighted in capital letters**. These were not merely cosmetic preferences: I specifically requested improvements to terminology and phrasing appropriate for an academic document, including expressions such as **“Student Registration Number,” “Degree Program,” “Current Semester,” “Academic Term,” “Expected Graduation Date,”** and **“Language of Instruction.”** With the exception of the surname issue — which I can understand a sworn translator may not be legally permitted to change if the original document itself contains a different spelling — **the remaining requested revisions were essentially ignored**. That distinction is important: I am not criticizing the translator for refusing to alter information that must legally reproduce the source document. I am criticizing the company because the other linguistic and terminological corrections I explicitly requested were not properly addressed. The result gives the impression of a service performed with **minimal care, minimal attention to the customer's instructions, and very poor quality control**. Instead of carefully reviewing legitimate translation changes, the company focused its response on the one change it could not make while apparently disregarding the others. For a paid professional translation service — particularly one advertising certified and sworn translations for academic purposes — I find this level of service unacceptable. The combination of **missed delivery deadlines, poor communication, failure to implement requested linguistic corrections, and apparent lack of attention to detail** has seriously undermined my confidence in this company. I urgently needed this document for an academic application. Instead of receiving a reliable professional service, I have spent days chasing a document I already paid for and repeatedly explaining corrections that should have been properly reviewed the first time. Based on my experience with this order, I cannot consider the service reliable or professionally satisfactory. It is the worst choice.
