Innovations that drove Our Success

This year has been a standout for us at Translayte, thanks in large part to several groundbreaking advancements that have revolutionised how we work. We’ve focused heavily on leveraging AI to not only speed up our processes but also to improve the accuracy and reliability of every translation we deliver.

One of the key innovations that helped us achieve this recognition is our AI-Powered Quality Assurance (AIQA) tool. Anyone who has worked with us knows how vital accuracy is when it comes to certified and sworn translations, especially for documents like birth certificates, driving licenses, and legal papers that often contain numerous names, dates, and numbers. In the past, the manual quality assurance process for these types of documents could take up to 30 minutes per page, and clients frequently requested changes after delivery.

But with AIQA, our linguists can now compare the original and translated documents in real-time, receiving immediate feedback on any potential errors in spelling, grammar, or terminology. This innovation significantly reduced the number of client change requests and improved the overall speed of our service, while still maintaining the high level of accuracy we pride ourselves on. AIQA has also been a game-changer for many of our translators, helping them deliver impeccable translations on the first attempt.

Streamlining efficiency with AI document labelling and template translations

Our AI Document Labelling system has also had a major impact, particularly in helping us manage high volumes of frequently requested official documents. As most of us are aware, government-issued documents tend to follow a set format. However, without a reliable system for identifying document types, we faced challenges in optimising our translation process.

Thanks to our AI Document Labelling system, we can now automatically recognise the type of document, its country of origin, and its language. This allows us to prioritise template development for the most common documents, streamlining our workflow and improving delivery times.

Building on this, we’ve introduced AI Template Translations, a tool that takes automation to the next level. Once a customer uploads a document, our system automatically matches it against our library of pre-built templates. If a match is found, the system extracts the relevant data, populates the template, and delivers a completed translation that retains the original document’s layout. What used to take up to 48 hours can now be done in just five minutes. This has not only cut down our turnaround times but has also allowed us to increase profitability while reducing client requests for changes.

The combination of these two technologies—document labelling and template matching—has allowed us to deliver faster, more accurate translations while maintaining the personal touch that sets us apart.

White Label partnership: expanding our reach

One of the initiatives we are particularly proud of is our White Label Partnership solution, which enables other Language Service Providers (LSPs) to offer certified translations without needing to manage the translation process themselves. This self-service platform allows our partners to offer certified translations in over 26 countries, all while maintaining their own brand identity.

What’s most exciting about this platform is how it enables us to work with other LSPs to help them turn what was often a loss-making service into a profitable one. By using our AI-powered systems, partners can quickly scale their translation services, secure in the knowledge that the heavy lifting—translation, quality assurance, and delivery—is being handled by our technology and expertise.

The success of this initiative is clearly demonstrated through partnerships like the one we have with LingvoHouse, where our White Label solution significantly increased their conversion rates and revenue. It’s an example of how we at Translayte are not just improving our own services but also supporting others in the industry to do the same.

Improving Client-Translator communication for better outcomes

In our ongoing search to improve client satisfaction, one of the important changes we’ve made is enabling direct communication between clients and translators. Previously, communication flowed through our project managers, which could lead to delays or miscommunication. Now, linguists can communicate directly with clients, sharing drafts and getting real-time feedback.

This change has made a world of difference in how we handle projects. It’s sped up delivery times, increased the accuracy of translations, and resulted in more satisfied clients. Allowing linguists and clients to collaborate directly ensures that we’re delivering exactly what the client needs without unnecessary back-and-forth.

Automation; Our key to handling growth

As we’ve grown, with a 50% increase in revenue from 2022 to 2023, the need for speed has never been more pressing. To meet this challenge, we introduced Automation Powered Workflows. This system automatically assigns tasks and even vendors to specific orders based on the service requested, reducing the chance of human error and allowing us to deliver projects faster.

By automating these workflows, we’ve been able to maintain our high standards of quality while scaling up to meet the growing demand for our services. It’s been an integral part of our ability to keep up with an expanding client base while ensuring that every order is handled efficiently and accurately.

A culture of continuous improvement

Winning the ATC Innovator of the Year Award is a tremendous achievement for all of us at Translayte, but it’s also just the beginning. This recognition validates the hard work we’ve put into improving our services and developing new technologies, but we’re far from done.
